James Laver, the head bat-maker, here at Laver & Wood is incredibly proud of his workshop. It is here that he takes a simple willow cleft and turns it into your brand new, world class cricket bat. It is here that James has created bats for thousands of players throughout the world using processes including pressing, drying and sanding.
We love to show people the workshop so if you are passing through Waipawa then feel free to drop in and take a look. Just give us a quick call first to check that we are here!
If you don't live locally enough to pop in then please take a look at the photos and videos that we have posted here.
We are looking to put together a regular video diary documenting different bat making processes so if you have any questions or ideas for topics then please email them to us.
