The Signature bat is the flagship of our range, we only produce five or six of these bats every year as the quality of willow has to be unsurpassed. The Signature Series is the type of bat that a bat maker can scarcely bear to part with - an incredibly good piece of willow turned into the finest bat imaginable.

The Signature bat is made to your own specification and comes presented in a velvet lined leather-bound case, has a bat cover and an array of accessories for the complete bat care. Your initials can be either engraved or printed on the bat to complete the personal touch. All Signature Bats are individually numbered and signed by James Laver, founder & owner of of Laver & Wood cricket bats.

The Signature bat is accompanied by a second bat that is for use as the practice bat and maybe one to use if you cannot bear the thought of using  the Signature bat you have just bought.  The presentation case is similar in design to a gun case and contains the following: 1 Signature bat, 1 practice Bat (Privat Bin Quality), 1 bat stand for the Signature bat, 1 cone for applying grips, 10 grips, 1 bat mallet, bat oil, sand paper, repair tape, 1 bat facing and some superglue.

It is highly unusual for us to have more than two pieces of willow available to be turned into a Signature Bat at any one time, so have a waiting list in operation. Each willow shipment is carefully graded and only one or two clefts per hundred will make the Signature grade.

Signature Bats can be made in an array of sizes & styles: Short Handle, Long Handle, and Long Blade with a weight range of 2lb7ozs through to 3lbs6ozs.
