The new RESERVE bat is now released for sale after extensive research into the concept of building a huge profile bat that performs, has a huge profile and a feather light pickup. We are celebrating the brand of Laver & Wood now being 10 years old. We have updated our ever popular Shield label and the result has been extremely well received.

We can knock this bat in for you and fit with an adhesive protection tape for the face and edges here in the workshop at Laver & Wood.

The weights range from 2lbs7ozs to 3lbs6ozs. These bats are most popular in the 2.10-2-12 weight range as they have a huge amount of willow in the blade and plenty of power. The lightest pickup imaginable for such a large amount of willow.

The face of this bat is flat and prepared mostly by hand mallet for the pressing. The edges are consistently huge and the profile depth massive. The profile can be made to a lower or higher sweet spot. The lower sweet spot gives a heavier pickup and slower bat speed and the higher sweet spot gives a lighter pickup and faster bat speed. The bat in the picture above weighs 2.12 and is a slightly shorter blade with a longer handle with a mid range sweet spot and pickup. Total length Men's short handle (33 & 1/2" - 85cm).

The RESERVE bat is made from our best players grade willow that is graded out of the best of our willow from J.S.Wright & Sons purely for perfromance and balance. This grade of willow falls between our Private Bin and Signature bat.

We can also give this bat a secondry drying process that gives it more profile. This is an optional service that is only done for professional players and means that the bat is not likely to last as long but will have even more power and presence with an amazing pickup. A very limited warranty applies here though if selecting this service and there is no extra charge.
