Hi Ross,

I am making one at the moment and so will post a pic of it when finished in a week or two.

Would love to see pics of others though.

I got my signature package last year after looking at getting a bat for my 300th game. When you look at how much a bat cost about $500 to $600 limited edition top of the range , And the fact that test players have a bat that they use in the game plus a seperate bat for the nets. I thought it made sense to get the package because i have a bat that i know will last, instead of having to buy a bat every 3 years because as a amateur you use the bat you have in the nets ,throw downs, in the game etc. Im pretty sure this signature will last the test of time a lot of the guys at my club are very impressed of course a few think im mad for the money i spent on it but its like a Lifetime investment it gives me peace of mind. Plus its going like a bomb 07/08 ,50,50,59,101no,88, with a few games to go cheers!

Looks classy spaceman, I wonder if James does the cabinent making himself?
2 questions for you, if you dont mind:

-What specs did you have the bats made to ? .ie profile (special, classic etc), weight, bow etc

-And having used the biscuit toe protection in you bats, how do you rate it?, ie do you feel it does a good job? does it diminish rebound at all?

G,day drawknife, dont know about the cabinet but im sure James keeps a close eye on all aspects of the bats plus what you carry them in. I did not fill in the specs via the net but decided to phone and talk to James direct, this gave me a voice to get a (feel) about the person i was talking too plus chat about what kind of game and shots i played. Trying to type stuff and explain was too long and the price of the phone call was worth it, im used to a classic style bat with thick edges and about 2.9 with a normal middle i would oil knock in and use shoe goo for the toe of the bats i had before. I open the batting but as i no longer play 1s the lower grades needed more omph to get the boundarys, i wanted a 2,12 but after a chat, i decided on slight bow got a 2,10 thick edge, standard short handle ive put on a extra grip as you can see in the picture the difference between the narrow carbo handle im used to a thicker handle. As for the toe ,no problem 11 grains and the bat when i opened the case was like white polished whalebone and the most beautiful sight ive seen, magic pickup-sorry if this is long winded but hope this answers your question.

Looks absolutely lush mate! If that was mine I would use it until it breaks for sure!

When this season ends in August/September (UK) I am getting a Laver. I can't afford a Signature unfortunately but I'm sure a Private Bin or Firefly will satisfy me! I look forward to then.
