Hi James!
One of the best ways of marketing is to have users of Laver and Wood bats open a thread and post pictures of their bats and what they think of them and all other forums and sites which offer a section where you can write "feedback" on various bats including Laver and Wood bats.
When in search for what bat to buy, firstly people like myself look at what bats elite players in the cricketing arena are using. As just the fact that a prolific batsman uses a certain bat talks in volumes about the bat. The fact that many bats used by players representing their countries use a certain bat with the sticker and logos of another company which pay them alot of money for doing so is quite misleading in my opinion. Secondly, again people like myself, search on google for sites where people have posted comments and left feedback on what they think about a particular bat. Since such comments and feedbacks (including forums) about Laver and Wood bats are quite few on the internet, I feel that it does not do justice to the great bats that you make.
I would recommend that you ask people who purchase bats to write a small review on your forum here on laverwood.com and to mention and ask customers to write a review on other sites which cover a huge range of bats, price comparisons and reviews of the different types of bats on that site. Since you are as humble, polite, tolerant and professional as you are, I don`t see too many people shying away from doing so.
My last 2 cents if you don`t mind.
Hand some beasty Private Bins to players like Brendon Mccullum, Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Dilshan and others of the same category. Hand it to them for free and tell them NOT to take off the stickers!! Let the Laver and Wood logos stay on the bats!! If Chris Gayle or Dilshan (or Pollard in the T20 in India) were to use a Laver and Wood then your sales would go up a considerable amount!!
I forget the player`s name, but he hit a world record amount of sixes in a county match in England 1-2 years back using a Warsop bat, I wouldn`t be surprised if the sales increased 20%-30% just cause of that one knock.
